Dieser Open Call entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit SNAC, einem Schweizer Designstudio aus Luzern.
This Open Call was created in collaboration with SNAC, a Swiss Design Studio from Lucerne.
Chlais Achermann von SNAC hat uns erzählt, dass im Transferdruckverfahren auch künstlerisch arbeiten kann, wie bei einem Holzschnitt oder Tiefdruck. Das wollen wir natürlich sofort ausprobieren.
Die Polyurethan-Folie, welche Du mit einem Japanmesser oder einer Schere bearbeiten kannst, ist hauchdünn und auf eine transparente Petfolie aufgezogen.
So kannst Du Deine Zeichnung im Negativ und gespiegelt – wie beim Holzschnitt – ausschneiden. Danach wird es von Chlais mit der Heatpress/Transferpresse auf die Jacke von Stanley/Stella appliziert.
Deine Zeichnung kann zusätzlich mit Lasercutter bearbeitet werden, falls Vektordaten vorhanden sind. Dir stehen also digitale und analoge Möglichkeiten offen.
Bewerbung:
Bewirb Dich mit einer Skizze / Visualisierung für eine Jacke von Stanley/Stella.
Jurierung:
Gemeinsam mit Chlais von SNAC werden wir bis zu 5 KünstlerInnen auswählen.
Vorgehen:
Entweder du gehst direkt zu SNAC in ihr Atelier in Luzern oder telefonierst mit Chlais, wählst Deine Farben aus und er schickt sie dir per Post zu. Das fertige Werk schickst du zurück und es wird auf die Jacke appliziert.
Verkauf:
Wir werden die Jacken exklusiv über NoA zum Verkauf anbieten, voraussichtlicher Preis: CHF 450.-
Aufteilung des Verkauferlöses:
50/50 zwischen Dir und uns. Wir übernehmen den Einkauspreis für die Jacke und die Kosten von SNAC.

Chlais Achermann from SNAC told us that transfer printing can also be used for artistic work, like woodcut or gravure printing. Of course we want to try that out right away.
The polyurethane film, which you can work on with a Japanese knife or scissors, is wafer-thin and mounted on a transparent pet foil.
This way you can cut out your drawing in negative and mirrored – just like a woodcut. Afterwards Chlais will apply it to the Stanley/Stella jacket with the heatpress/transfer press.
Your drawing can also be edited with a laser cutter if vector data is available. So you have digital and analog possibilities.
Application:
Apply with a sketch / visualization for a Stanley/Stella jacket.
Judging:
Together with Chlais from SNAC we will select up to 5 artists.
Procedure:
Either you go directly to SNAC in their studio in Lucerne or you call Chlais, choose your colors and he will send them to you by mail. You send the finished work back and it will be applied to the jacket.
Sale:
We will offer the jackets for sale exclusively through NoA, estimated price: CHF 450
Distribution of the sales proceeds:
50/50 between you and us. We will cover the purchase price of the jacket and the costs of SNAC.
